
In today’s pre-mkt summary for Subscribers: Equities surged pre-mkt as $Microsoft(MSFT.US) and $Meta Platforms(META.US) both delivered stronger than expected 1Q results and gave favorable outlooks. $Tesla(TSLA.US) Board Chair Robyn Denholm denied a WSJ report that the TSLA Board had discussions with executive recruiters about potential outside replacements for CEO Elon Musk. $Apple(AAPL.US) and $Amazon(AMZN.US) report earnings today after the close. We believe the U.S. economy has entered recession as consumers continue to pull back. The Fed meets next Tues and Wed. We expect the Fed to hold int rates but signal a potential rate cut in June.
