
Samsung Electronics will increase HBM chip production 50% in 2026 over last year due to strong demand and expected orders from Nvidia, media report, with government officials saying they are working to shorten permit times to help. Samsung last year said it would invest 60 trillion won (US$41.5 billion) on its Pyeongtaek campus in South Korea, and broke ground on the 5th facility there in November.
