TSMC is poised to transform Chiayi, southern Taiwan into the world's largest advanced semiconductor packaging hub, media report. Officials have approved the environmental assessment for an 89.58-hectare expansion in the science park, paving the way for at least three additional TSMC plants focused on CoWoS, SoIC, and WMCM packaging.
