
TSMC evacuated all fab workers at its Japan subsidiary in Kumamoto after a 7.1-magnitude earthquake struck the prefecture, media report, adding all are safe and accounted for. Employees returned to the fab after its structural integrity was confirmed and began inspecting lines and assessing damage. Nearby construction has stopped due to expected aftershocks.
