$Intuitive Machines(LUNR.US) pays tribute to Josh and CEO Altemus, a very down-to-earth conversation without a lot of corporate speak and hype. What I got from it:

This was recorded a few months ago, talking about waiting for the NSNS contract and the Europa mission "later this year".

They now have 400 employees and are already designing the next (larger) lander.

He wants to build the next "national asset" company, like Boeing, Northrop and Lockheed, with the moon being just the first step. He hinted at the Europa mission, "they could do that in the future".

They have a unique tank design that "no one else has", which was the biggest engineering problem they solved, including his days as NASA's engineering director.

Kam Ghaffarian originally wanted him to lead X-Energy (a company that makes small nuclear reactors and just won $500 million from Amazon). X-Energy and IM formed a joint venture to provide nuclear power to the moon, so putting these two companies under one big umbrella with Axiom could be a huge asset in the future.

No other company has 3 legs (delivering payloads with landers, autonomous operations hailing VIPER with LTV, and communications under NSNS). They have the blueprint to become more than just NASA and the Department of Defense's preferred company.

They are moving "extremely fast" on all these legs, with the agility, discipline and culture to make it happen.
