On October 23, SEC filings revealed that investment firm BlackRock misreported its stake in Chinese e-commerce platform Pinduoduo, revising it from 9.5% down to 2.4%. It's reported that BlackRock initially stated it held about 132 million shares of Pinduoduo at the start of Q3 but later corrected this to 33 million shares.
This news caused Pinduoduo's stock price to surge 8.3% to $135.26 at one point, but after the correction, the price pulled back, eventually closing up 2.9% at $128.51.
