Today I saw this news: the Office of the United States Trade Representative announced plans to impose tariffs on Chinese semiconductor products starting from June 2027.

Although it is just a "future policy" for now, with the initial tariff rate set at 0%, it will only increase after 18 months. This means the actual impact of the tariffs won't be seen until mid-2027.

This news may have some effect on market sentiment in the supply chain, but in the short term, it is merely a directional signal. After all, the timeline is still far off, and global supply chains won't be restructured that quickly.
