Rate Of ReturnAfter buying a car for a year, I realized that a car is really just a consumable.
It steadily consumes your money every day.
Friend's car vs. my car:
He said his assisted driving runs more than I drive myself.
Over 7,780 kilometers,
I probably drove 780 kilometers myself,
the rest was either driven by my sister or friends.
Actually, I don’t like driving at all.
This year, the money spent on taxis is the same as last year, still 10k+.
But the car still needs maintenance:
Monthly parking fees,
occasional scratches that require compensation,
and insurance costs of 10k+.
Some things,
buying them doesn’t mean they suit you.
What’s even more heartbreaking is that if I hadn’t bought the car back then and instead used that money to buy gold, it would have doubled by now.
But then again, the money spent on that period of happiness wasn’t wasted.
