After thinking about it, it's a mindset inertia formed during the bull market of the past two years.

Seeing stocks in my watchlist plummet, my first instinct is to open a position first and then research.

This was indeed effective a year ago, "a pullback is an opportunity."

Now it's not anymore. Only after a prolonged bottom forms could it possibly be an opportunity.
