Stock Live Trading P183: Waiting for the East Wind

The most painful thing is not losing money, but that everyone else is making money while I'm still losing.

If everyone is losing money, I can still blame it on the bad market environment. But when others are making money and I'm the only one losing, what can I blame? Blame it on me being smarter than everyone else? Even I'm not that stupid to deceive myself like that.

Right now, I only have two types of stocks in hand: one is defense, and the other is precious metals. They are really weak. In April, all stocks rebounded violently, only precious metals had a dead cat bounce. It's fine that they rose slowly before, but these days other stocks are still rising, while precious metals and defense have already started to fall.

They used to be safe havens, now they are little demons in a slow decline, falling every day, and with small fluctuations. The fluctuations are so small that you can't even do any arbitrage. If they dropped a lot in one go, that would be fine, I could average down. But you just drop one or two points every day like this, I can't even average down the cost. It's a complete waste of time.

It feels like others are making money by trading stocks, while I'm serving a prison sentence. I clearly chose stocks that were once strong, but as soon as I got in, they stopped being strong. I clearly had flawless logic, but as soon as I got in, the logic became useless.

So what can I do? I can only say I'm still young, I can wait. I'm not in a hurry, I don't chase quick money. I can't predict short-term ups and downs, I can't predict strength or weakness. I will only root myself in logic and fundamentals, quietly waiting for my east wind.
