On March 24, 2026, AeroVironment announced the launch of the LOCUST®X3, which enables precision light-speed strikes to rapidly destroy drone threats. Drawing on experience from widely deployed systems, the LOCUST®X3 sets a new standard for modular, AI-driven drone defense systems. With unprecedented accuracy, scalability, and operational flexibility, it can address current and emerging aerial threats.

Designed for persistent counter-UAS defense, it features the following:
