Rate Of ReturnUS stocks are still better, although they fall fast and hard, they also recover quickly
This is to amplify A-shares, who knows when the Hong Kong market will recover,
it might not even come back by the next blue moon.
It all relied on buying the long calls of those good stocks that were wrongly sold off due to sentiment during the trough, allowing me to recover all losses and reach new highs in returns through this rebound where the index hit new highs.
It's still about truly understanding the stocks, being able to hold them clearly and confidently, or even add to the position, no matter the time or situation. Otherwise, cutting losses becomes a completely opposite and irreversible path.
I still have to thank myself for the usual serious study and research, which allowed me to withstand this big drop and successfully seize the opportunity to come back. But looking back, it's still scary. I can't go heavy on options from now on. It should be 70-80% underlying stocks, 20-30% long calls, and never be fully invested. Always keep 20-30% cash to seize bottom-fishing opportunities during sudden events, control volatility, and sleep early at night to get a good rest.
Seeing the second-generation's doomsday every day is enviable, but after playing small a few times myself, it really tests the mentality. Even small plays are hard to endure, let alone big ones. Indeed, I can only envy, and admit that I might not be ready for such a feast yet. I'll stick to the model I'm familiar with and confident in.
After this big rise and fall, I can't help but sigh. Actually, the stock market is quite like life. Eight or nine out of ten things are unsatisfactory, and only one or two are truly happy. But often, after enduring and holding on through those eight or nine, you can harvest this one or two of happiness and joy.
Some random thoughts, writing as I think. Poor writing, just take a casual look. Mainly for my own record and review.
