Anthropic and Amazon announced today a significant expansion of their strategic partnership since 2023. Under the new agreement, Anthropic will invest over $100 billion in AWS technology over the next decade, securing up to 5 GW of compute capacity for training and deploying the Claude models.
Amazon will invest an additional $5 billion, with the potential to add up to $20 billion more based on the achievement of commercial milestones. Combined with the previously invested $8 billion, Amazon's cumulative investment in Anthropic could reach $33 billion.
