Xia Huaxia, Meituan's Chief Scientist and former head of the Autonomous Vehicle Division, has resigned. Xia Huaxia joined Meituan in 2013 and rose through the ranks over more than 10 years, holding positions including "Head of Technology Engineering Department," "Head of Food Delivery Technology," and "General Manager of the Autonomous Vehicle Division." He ultimately reported to Wang Xing as "Meituan's Chief Scientist" and was widely recognized internally as a tech heavyweight.
