SpaceX Option🚨Breaking:
OpenAI has launched GPT-5.6, claiming it is more powerful than Claude Mythos.
This is a new series containing 3 models: Sol, Terra, and Luna.
Sol is the most powerful and most expensive.
Terra costs only half of OpenAI's old top-tier model but performs just as well. Luna is the cheapest and fastest, built for simple, high-volume tasks.
OpenAI has not yet released this version to everyone.
It started with a small group of trusted partners. OpenAI stated that this limited rollout was conducted at the request of the U.S. government, ahead of a broader public release in the coming weeks.
OpenAI claims Sol is on par with Claude Mythos in a cybersecurity test called ExploitBench, while using only about one-third of the computing power Mythos required to complete the same task.
During testing, Sol was able to discover security vulnerabilities in software and figure out some components needed to exploit them, but it could not assemble these components into a fully functional attack on its own.
To support its security claims, OpenAI said it spent the equivalent of over 700,000 high-end GPUs' worth of computing time trying to find ways the model could be misused or tricked, in addition to separate human testing.
