Because Apple represents the carbon-based side — human consumers like you and me. The main profit battlefield in this round of memory has long since shifted from the carbon-based side to the "silicon-based" side — AI factories, AI servers, and GPUs.
The fact that Apple can't withstand the price increase doesn't prove the memory chain is about to collapse; on the contrary, it proves this shift has already happened: major memory manufacturers would rather prioritize selling to AI than sell cheaply to Apple.
